In the fall of 1999 I participated in an interdisciplinary course which was established between the Visual Art and Theatre departments of the College of Fine Arts at USF. This was made possible by a grant which two professors, one from Theatre and one from Music, and a graduate student from Visual Art, received from the College. For the first half of the semester, we studied various interdisciplinary techniques that have been utilized in performance art. During the second half of the semester, the class was split into three groups, and we all participated in producing a performance art event, Paper or Plastic, which was staged on December 3, 4 and 5, at the Springs Theatre in Tampa, Florida.
